MODERN WHIMSY STYLE...

This card was made for my first Make It Monday Challenge at Papertrey Ink!!  I love everything Papertrey Ink!  And I love the style of Danielle Flanders!

I started with similar base ideas from Danielle, and then took it a bit further with my own style!!
The sentiment is from PTI "Happiest of Holidays" Stamps set.
Then I used several sizes of the layered flags Die-Namics, as well as the loopy Die-namic from MFT.
I also used the PTI Peace die from Holiday One-Liners. The bottom layer is in red PTI cardstock, and on top of that is white cardstock, embossed in Gold powder.
I also used the Fancy Flakes Die, layered with the Tim Holtz Rosette die.  On top of that is the Memory Box Precious Snowflakes Die in foil paper.
There is a layer of vellum under there with some snowflakes stamped on and embossed with Stardust embossing powder.

Thank you for stopping by!

Random....

Since I have been a bit delinquent in my postings lately, (as per usual), I have gathered some of my most recent cards to post.  Some are Father's Day, some are end of school, birthdays and just Hello!!

For an outstanding soccer coach - end of season Thank You from the team!!  Always hard to make a masculine card!!  MFT die cut at the top, Fishtail Flag, Stars, T-Shirt stamp and die, Spellbinders circle and Scalloped Circle with stars.  Baker's Twine, and Jewelry charm from Michael's.

PTI Father's Day stamp set and dies.  Love the tools!!  Spellbinders banner dies, with stamps used from the Father's day stampset, as well as the MFT Document it series.  The sentiment is also PTI - Boutique Borders Father.
Another use for the PTI Star Gazers Additions stamp set, is a birthday card!  Used Pink Embossing powder as well as the pearl white.  Stars are from MFT as is the Fishtail Flags.  Ribbon is Wal Mart and the Baker's twine is random!! Gems are also Wal Mart.

End of school teacher card!!  Tim Holtz Picture wheel, variety of teeny stamps from the MFT Document it series, as well as Expand your View Stamp.  100% is from MFT's Off The Chart stamps, and just used a circle punch to punch it out.  Teacher you Rock is from MFT Gift Card Greetings.  Used the PTI Library Card stamp. The Tim Holtz Clipboard mover and shaker die, as well as the Tim Holtx Ticket die and stamp.  The thank you is from ???  Bit of sewing on this card as well!!  There is also acetate behind the picture wheel, inked up with espresso Alcohol Ink to give it a film like effect!  Kinda cool!!

Rosie Posie stamp set and Additions to make it a 2 step stamping process.  I really like how it gives definition to the flowers and leaves.  The background is done with a stencil and inks.  The sentiment is from MFT Pretty Poppies.  The gems are from Wal Mart.

Wedding...

Ahhh, June!  The month of grad and weddings!!  Needless to say I was a little busy making cards for both occasions!!
Memory Box dies the heart and the Serafina heart overlay.  PTI Year of the Flowers Roses for the Sentiment.  Tim Holtz pin, Wal Mart sheer ribbon,  and Gems.  And a bit of sewing on this card.

New stamp set from PTI - love it!!  The bikes are so much fun, you have the option of putting in brads to make the wheels actually turn!!  All stamps and sentiment are from this stamp set, as well as the coordinating dies!!

Watercolored PTI Year of the Flowers - Roses stamp set and dies.  Wal Mart Ribbon, and gem.  Silver embossing powder.  Watercolor paper.

Graduation...

Well, my oldest daughter graduated last month - Congrats Megan!!  I was busy making grad cards for her friends & to Megan from her Grandparents.  So here are some of the cards I made...
PTI Star Gazers Additions stamp set, and sentiment.  Embossed in Zing Turquoise and Pearl white.  Tim Holtz tiny tag die, 2013 was stamped with MFT Typewriter set.  Wal Mart Ribbon and random Baker's twine.  Stars are also MFT dies.

MFT Winter Rose die cut, MFT Knowledge is Power stamp set for the sentiment and also MFT Fishtail stacks for the flags.  Leaves are from Ruby Rose set from PTI.

PTI Rosie Posie and Additions 2 step stamps and dies, mat stack 6 and the larger mat stack 6.  MFT Knowledge is power stamps for sentiment.  Memento inks.  Bit of sewing on this card.  Tim Holtz stamp was used to kind of "rough up" the white background of the sentiment.

Boys grad cards.  Found the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers!!

Granddaughter Grad Card - again used PTI Rosie Posie and Additions, with the mat stack 6 for the MFT Knowledge is Power sentiment.  Granddaughter on the MFT Fishtail Flag stack was computer generated.  Tim Holtz Pin and tiny tag die.  Wal Mart Ribbon, MFT Loopy die.  Some sewing was again used here!!

Where to start?  Tim Holtz Picture Wheel die.  MFT Stamps for picture wheel, as well as their camera set for the circular sentiment in the middle of the wheel.  MFT Hello my name is set.  MFT Gift Card Greetings for the green Graduate sentiment.  Tim Holtz Tag die, and tag stamp with the tiny sentiments,  Tim Holtz pin, and wal mart ribbon, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.  Spellbinders banner dies, and MFT stars.  I used acetate in the back of t he picture wheel as well as some Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Ink in Espresso to color the acetate, to give it a film like effect.

Again PTI Star Gazers Additions set this time embossed in pewter.

This was the card I made for Megan!  I love how it turned out with all the soft colors of greys and pinks.  Not your typical graduation card!!  Bo Bunny was the brand of most of the papers I used.  MFT Homespun HEarts, Spellbinders Circles and Scalloped Circles, MFT Knowledge is Power sentiment, Tim Holtz tiny tag die, PTI Library card stamp, MFT Fishtail Flags stacks.  Ribbon and gems are Wal Mart.  Martha Stewart Doily edge punch was used.  And yes, I did a bit of seing on this card as well.

This is a vintage valise made into a little booklet with map pages.  Used the co'ordinations paper and sanded it to look vintage.  Added pix from trips and some journaling tags.  Lots of room to add on!!

80th Birthday...

I was commissioned to make an 80th Birthday Card.  So, here it is!!  Always hard to do a masculine card.  Used the Stampin'Up Countryside stamp set.  I watercolored it with distress inks, stamped with Ranger Black Archival Ink.  Die cut the 80 with the Tim Holtz WordPlay set, used the metal foil over cardstock, and then embossed with the Tim Holtz Rivets Metalplate folder (not sure if that is really what it is called), and colored with alcohol inks.

Rock On DAD!!

Fun, Fun, Fun birthday card for my DAD!!  I love this stamp and die set from My Favorite Things - Accent it CASSETTE TAPE!!  I cut one out so that the die cut actually made a cassette tape card on the front, cut out an extra cassette and cut off the bottom and popped it up on the card front.  Used the stamps to coordinate the front of the cassette.  Used the Tim Holtz on the edge die - Torn notebook page - to make a tattered edge on the card.  Edged it with ribbon and a Tim Holtz pin and Destiny Charm, that I added some white paint to, to highlight the letters.  Used Tim Holtz Gears and the Movers and Shapers Arrow to accent the front.

Here is the inside of the card!!  The sentiment is from the Triple Scoop Birthday Sentiment stamps from My Favorite Things.  I just embossed with a couple of different blues.

This is the inside of the Cassette Tape on the front of the card.  On the bottom you can see the clock hands on the edge of the tape.  As well I used screw head brads to embellish the gears.
